Mikela Thrasher
Alice Deal Middle School
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
In my old schools art was never a big part of your grade. We never got big assignments. The teachers in my old schools were great, but they didn't quite teach me new techniques in art. Ms. Thrasher really helped me learn and grow. I REALLY enjoyed art class this year. I got to make and capture amazing photography which I would have never thought of taking before. My mom is an artist and she even LOVED Ms. Thrasher. She really helped me this year and I feel like I enjoy art way more now. I remember loving coming to art because I was excited about all the kahoots and games. I now realize that the kahoots actually thought me so much about the history of art and many different artists. In addition, I learned many different photography techniques and even got to learn the history of memes and selfies. I am sad that art is for only one term but I truly wish it was for more. Ms. Thrasher especially made art much more fun and something I always look forward to during my day. Ms. Thrasher is an amazing teacher and really hope she will get to teach again sometime. I enjoyed art so much because of her. (The file I added is one of the digital art pieces I drew in class)
