She is very nice and she is always very supportive about my ideas inside and outside of class. She teaches PE which means a break from the computers for a while and she always has us playing some kind of super fun game. She always smiles and says hi when I get to class even when I am a little late. She always cheers me on and helps me out when I need it. She always says hi to me and asks how my day is going she is always very kind.

Mr. Hash is a very fun CTE teacher. He makes sure he engages with all his students and make sure they are on task and makes his class very fun.

Mr Hester is really awesome and extremely nice. He makes me happy to go to band and he's always very joyful. Mr Hester gave me a Starbucks cake pop after I got into region and that was the best thing he's ever done. He always buys us food and drinks and he makes band more enjoyable. He's always helping us and he's always making sure we do our best. He's always supporting us no matter what happens and will never give up on us even if we're the worst band ever. Mr Hester is one of the best teachers I've had at this school.

Mr. Heredia has made Spanish class one of my favorite classes. He always makes sure everyone understands what he is saying and what the videos are saying he makes sure that everyone is also on task and also having fun. Mr. Heredia is an amazing Spanish teacher and he should be nominated for teacher of the year.

This teacher is incredible. She has major grades every week so if we dont do good on assaignments like a reading passage or a video mini lesson, we can signifigantly improve our grade with these major grades that contain information we already learned during classtime. If we volunteer for something, she will either give us PBIS points (a store that has items in exchange for "PBIS points") or glucose ( a peppermint). This makes the classroom very engaging. Occasionally, she has guided notes with questions that we move around the room for. Overall, it is very fun and engaging in Ms. Acevado's class, and i believe she deserves this award

Mr. Victorian is one of my favorite teachers at SVMS. He is so caring and he makes everyday so fun for me and all his students. He really takes the time out of his day to make sure he teaches all his students the same way and he explains everything very well. I enjoy all his slide shows and that he is just overall a amazing person.

Ms. Barton not only makes sure that we sing the dynamics and the lyrics right, but she also helps us understand the point of the song. By helping us learn about the meaning we can put more effort, and feeling into the song when we are singing. Some things that make me so excited to go to class is when we get to sing. I love singing, but I feel like I need more practice on my dynamics when I try to sing songs that I like. She lets us know that she cares about us because she provides not only physical support, but also mental support. Sometimes we can depend on her to listen to us vent out our feelings about different topics, and she'll give us an honest answer. When she is talking to another adult and saying great things about the choir it makes me so happy, and makes me want to try even harder to impress her. She has supported multiple decisions that we have wanted to make, but we were stuck in between honesty or sounding rude. Ms. Barton is truly an adult that I can rely on!

The reason I like this teacher is because this teacher does cool things and he is a chill teacher. also, the reason I am excited to go to this class is that we do work that is not too hard and it's like a break. because they come to check on us and see if we do well and he will hell you. they have supported me inside the classroom how it's because he won't make fun of you sometimes he will make jokes that you will like and if you don't you can ask him not to say it.

She tells us and helps us in every day possible. She gives us step-by-step problems and tells us how to fix them. We all make mistakes and we learn from them. Her class is probably one of the best classes I've had all year. She helps every student out and she even gives us sweets whenever we accomplish or do something right.

Ms. Acevedo has made science class so fun for me this year. I love all her timers and slide shows. She has shown me that science class can be so much fun. She also showed me how to solve science problems and taught me alot about science and I am one very lucky student to have a teacher like Ms. A

I chose Mr. Hester because he mostly chill with all of us. Things that he does that makes me want to go to band is let us play our instrument. He'll tell us if we are making mistakes or not. He will say its alright to make mistakes.

Mrs. A has a fun bubbly personality that makes learning fun. She also has a positive attitude and explains things in a scientific but kid level way. Mrs A always calls us beautiful wonderful children even when we make mistakes. She makes me more confident by telling me that I am smart and capable of great things. I have gone to Mrs. A about personal problems and she has given me advice and guided me through it. I love Mrs. A, and that's why I think she should win this award!

I think Ms.Acevedo is great because she is very interactive in the classroom room and I think her teaching methods are great for the ib learning environment because she is always very animated but also very professional at the same time shes always follows the teachers and makes sure the students are successful in what they're doing and making sure they understand what she's teaching I know this because one time I didn't understand a part of what she was teaching along with some other students so she did a minilesson simplifying it and breaking it down into smaller pieces making it easier to understand and helping us make the connections I would also like to point out that if she gets teacher of the year she could use the money to help decorate her classroom further because as i mentioned before she is very animated but also professional with her classroom decorations and materials this is why I think Ms.Acevedo should be the teacher of the year

This teacher has really spent their time teaching many kids at once. If a kid messes up, he will let them try again and again. He will give them the techneque they need in order to play it right. He also goes above and beyond by teaching everyones section of the band by having an exclusive time just for people's section to play. In addition, he will let us come early in the morning so we get more time to practice people's instruments. Overall, i think Mr. Cadondon is an incredible teacher and deserves this award.

He invests me with his lessons even if it's something I originally thought would have been boring. He gives interactive ways of learning and lets us participate. He also lets us do group work pretty often. By rewarding us for being good students with things like takis. He is genuinely fun to talk to, and definitely tries to include everybody.

Coach Acree has been one of the best coached I've ever had. He is also telling me things that can help me in sports and in math. He is a very caring person and I am very greatful to have him as one of my coached.

I'd like to recognize Ms. Kamal as she has been pushing me to do my absolute best and see the importance of learning in a way I have never thought of. I appreciate how she has taught me and my peers, and I hope her students can see it the same way next year.

Ms. Cooper is awesome because she inspires, ignites curiosity, and empowers her students to reach their full potential. She always goes above and beyond to make learning engaging, meaningful, and fun. Brooklyn comes home everyday excited to tell how her day went in Ms. Coopers class. Ms. Cooper incorporates humor, storytelling, and personal anecdotes that help create a lively and engaging classroom atmosphere. Through her actions and words Ms. Cooper shows how much she cares for all of her students. She takes the time to get to know each student individually. Every morning past students fill her classroom to see her before they start their day. Brooklyn talks so highly of Ms. Cooper. She talks about how Ms. Cooper creates a supportive and encouraging environment where their class is motivated to learn and grow academically and personally. Ms. Cooper has supported Brooklyn inside and outside of the classroom by always being approachable and available for questions or concerns, providing guidance and mentorship, offering resources for further learning, and showing genuine interest in her well-being and success. Ms. Cooper is a true role mode and deserves to be honored!

I love how she try’s her best to always come to school ,not alot of people appreciate her or like her but i do especially since lately she’s been very sick ,i love her and appreciate her so so much🫶🏼.i get exited just to see her face she makes my confident by supporting me. Ms. Gaines has been great with my son. I see a huge improvement in his behavior and academics since he’s been in her class. My son has challenges in these areas due to his ADHD. It is comforting to know that he has a teacher that is empathetic to his condition and intentional in assisting him to work through it. Thank you Ms. Gaines!

She is dedicated, organized and wants to to what is best for her students. She has great classroom management and despite the challenges she persists and gives her all to create an encouraging learning environment.
