Evie had the privilege of having Mrs. Briar in both 3rd and 5th grade as her compass teacher. Mrs. Brian navigated Covid like it was any other day and gave the children grace while still keeping her learning objective front and center. The mother of 2 teenager herself, she is fantastic with this age group as they are growing and moving into those more mature stages of life. Reading is KEY in her world and while my daughter struggles to find her love of reading, Mrs. Briar is always finding new and exciting ways to make reading fun, relevant and tailored to each individual student. Dare I say she has made a reader out to my non-reader! What an accomplishment. The children love Mrs. Briar, not too strict, but not lenient. The perfect blend of intelligence, authority, and most of all FUN!
