STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

My son and I wanted to thank Ms. Young for taking on a big group of virtual PK4 students on top of her regular PK 3 class when their PK4 teacher returned to in-person teaching. Virtual learning for PK students - and using the new technologies that go with it - had really thrown her for a loop (as it did all of us!) last year when my son had her for PK3, we were surprised and delighted to see that she's set up a really great schedule and learning-based activities for the kids now. PK is such a hard age to teach virtually and she's really figured out how to keep them engaged. And she knew that having both the PK3 and PK4 students together on the screen would be too many, so she had to set up a second morning session and small group session for PK4 students, effectively doubling her teaching time. We applaud teachers for their flexibility, persistence, and hard work through the pandemic!
